Effect of Adsorbent/Adsorbate Couple on the Performance of Adsorption Solar Refrigerator

This work presents a contribution to the study of process cold production by adsorption from solar energy. In this paper, we discuss comparative operation refrigerator using silica gel-water couple and zeolite-water through dynamic modeling simulation. The mathematical model representing evolution heat mass transfer at each component has been developed. It appears that temperature two adsorbents (zeolite gel) is quasi-similar throughout operating cycle. However, maximum water vapor adsorbed silicagel (0.24 kg/kg) higher than zeolite (0.201 kg/kg). same way, cycled, obtained with silicagel-water which 0.14 kg/kg, 0.081 kg/kg. Therefore, amount produced 9.178 MJ coefficient performance 0.378 couple, are better.
